Just got word that the surgery was successful, Dr Socks had an minor reaction to one of the medications they gave her afterwards however, nothing major and she should be multitasking her life as usually here soon. Her Doctors were extremely pleased with the results of the operation and said therapy will begin in a few weeks if not sooner ( depends on her ).....I'll know more in the morning.
I would like to thank all of you who pitched in a bought her a little something special for the downtime..too many names to rattle off. I'm sure she'll be busy tinkering with all the gadgets shortly.
And thanks to everyone else, the extra universal good vibe and/or prayers surly assisted....

Those that know Dr Sockrates ( welcome to the Internet and anonymity ), a few years back she was involved in an lab explosion. Her larynx was severely damaged due to chemical inhalation along with multiple third degree burns. Over the years she has undergone various corrective procedures ( skin and muscle ) and to everyones amazement has been LOL "rebuilt" or "stitched-up" (PUN) :-)
Today Socks will be undergoing an experimental procedure that will hopefully repair her larynx and throat. The Doctors performing this operation are the best of the best....she is in good hands. Her Doctors said this should give her at least 20-30 percent of her voice back.

Now for the simple request: lets generate some positive energy.......
