Embrace Your Homophobia, Boy Scouts of America, By Henry Rollins
FTA:
By Henry Rollins
" .... I was thinking about all this because the Boy Scouts of America, or BSA for short, is considering easing up its ban on homosexuals and atheists. The Scouts have a ban? They absolutely do.
Check out its oath. The God part is right at the top and the "don't even think about it, you fags" part is right at the end:
On my honor I will do my best
To do my duty to God and my country
and to obey the Scout Law;
To help other people at all times;
To keep myself physically strong,
mentally awake and morally straight.
That the BSA is even considering lifting the ban has a lot of people freaking out. If you let these gay, god-hating boys into the Scouts, they will immediately start forwarding their homo agenda! .... " " .... I think the BSA should keep its anti-gay, anti-atheist rules intact. It should post them right on the front of the clubhouse door in big letters. It should use the Westboro Baptist Church's printer. The BSA also should immediately lose all federal funding. Oh yes, the organization gets it. All taxpayers' money coming into the BSA has the Fourth and 14th Amendments all over it. " .... You want to discriminate? I say knock yourself out but do it on your own dime. Get the Koch brothers to write the checks; I'm sure they have a few million lying around. Come on BSA, stand strong! Stay the course! You all should flaunt your homophobia as proudly as your affinity for responsibility and honesty. Tell the truth and let's see how it plays. Do it and then tell me that you're instilling true American values in these young men and I will tell you that you are a liar. I will be right and you will be wrong. .... "

Another former LAPD officer releases a manifesto
" February 11, 2013
By Anomaly
Christopher Dorner is creating quite a firestorm of attention directed toward the Los Angles Police Department, and now his efforts have doubled in another manifesto created by former LAPD Officer Joe Jones.
In its entirety, it reads exactly (typos and grammatical errors included):
“My Former LAPD Officer Joe Jones MANIFESTO…
I know most of you who personally who me are in disbelief of the partial story I will tell today. A story that has been suppressed for about 18 years, But lives strong everyday of my life.
I without hesitation would like to send my condolences to the Victims who were lost and their families during this tragic situation. I would also like to send my condolences and well wishes to the many former and current Officers, as well as Citizen’s and their families who lost the lives and souls of loved one’s to the injustices of Police Corruption, Scandal, Lies, Deception and Brutality.
Unlike Former Officer Dorner, I fear dying; But I also fear living in a society where Innocent people are dying for no reason. A society where pain so great can be afflicted to people who have to desire to live right and treat people right and then be punished for doing right.
They say we all look alike. In very few cases this of course is true. But ... "

Gun Owners Agree with Obama
" ... In American gun households, 52% support a ban on assault weapons and 91% support background checks for all gun buyers. A sizable minority, 45%, also support a ban on the sale of high capacity magazines. All of these positions NRA chief Wayne LaPierre has rebuffed in the gun control debate over the past month, yet 62% of Americans in these gun households believe that the NRA better reflects their views on guns than President Obama. ... The NRA vs. America - rollingstone
How the country’s biggest gun-rights group thwarts regulation and helps put military-grade weapons in the hands of killers
FTA:
" ... Eleven days after the massacre, Wayne LaPierre – a lifelong political operative who had steadied the National Rifle Association through many crises – stood before an American flag and soberly addressed the nation about firearms and student safety: "We believe in absolutely gun-free, zero-tolerance, totally safe schools. That means no guns in America's schools, period," LaPierre said, carving out a "rare exception" for professional law enforcement. LaPierre even proposed making the mere mention of the word "guns" in schools a crime: "Such behavior in our schools should be prosecuted just as certainly as such behavior in our airports is prosecuted," LaPierre said.
This speech wasn't delivered in an alternate universe. The date was May 1st, 1999, at the NRA's national convention in Denver. Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold's rampage at Columbine High School in nearby Littleton, Colorado, had just killed 13 students and teachers, shocking the conscience of the nation.
Wayne vs. Wayne: When the NRA Chief Endorsed Gun Control in Schools
The disconnect between the NRA chief's conciliatory address on that day 14 years ago and his combative press conference in the aftermath of the slaughter of 20 first-graders in Newtown, Connecticut, could hardly be more jarring. In his now-infamous December 21st tirade, LaPierre ripped the gun-free zones he once championed as an invitation to the "monsters and predators of this world," advertising to "every insane killer in America that schools are their safest place to inflict maximum mayhem with minimum risk."
LaPierre then offered what he called a "proven" solution to school gun violence – one that would open a lucrative new market for the gun industry while tidily expanding the power of the NRA itself. "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun," LaPierre insisted, before proposing that armed, NRA-trained vigilantes should patrol each of the nation's nearly 100,000 public schools.
The shift in LaPierre's rhetoric underscores a radical transformation within the NRA. ... "

The Revisionaries - the public education battleground
" The Revisionaries showcases how public education has become the latest battleground in a new wave of cultural, religious and ideological clashes, with local Texas education board members advancing agendas of Creationism and other religious issues in public schools. This documentary highlights how their tactics have had the effect of rewriting key tenets of U.S. democracy and are affecting educational policies at the national level - for generations to come. -- (C) Kino Lorber " -- https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_revisionaries_2012/
